Delaware State Police say road rage led to the shooting of a 42-Year-Old Brook haven, Pennsylvania man Monday night.
WILMINGTON (DE) 01/25/21: State Police are investigating after a 42-Year-Old man drove himself to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound after a traffic altercation with another motorist.
Police say it was around 5:15 p.m. when the victim was driving his vehicle on Concord Plaza turning onto Silverside Road when another motorist in a light-colored passenger vehicle began shooting at him.
A 42-year-old male from Brookhaven, PA, was operating his vehicle on Concord Plaza pulling onto Silverside Road, when an unknown suspect inside of a light-colored passenger vehicle stationary on Concord Plaza began shooting at the victim numerous times., Said police spokesman Jason Hatchell. “The victim was struck by one bullet in the leg.”
Hatchell said the victim was treated and released at the hospital for a gunshot wound to the upper thigh. No one else was injured during the shooting.
Back at the scene, police located eight 9mm shell casings. Detectives are searching for any witnesses who may have seen what happened or can identify the suspect.
