DOVER (DE) 02/02/21: An inmate at the Delaware Department of Corrections James T. Vaughn Correctional Center has died from complications from stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer, the department said in a news release on Tuesday.
45-Year-Old Jamie Dixon of Seaford, Delaware, died on Monday evening, February 1 at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus., the release said.

Dixon, who has been in DOC custody since 2006 and was serving a life sentence for Rape, First Degree, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the fall of 2019.
Dixon’s body was released to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science to determine cause of death.
