A 21-Year-Old man who was shot in the upper thigh Tuesday night in Oakmont is in stable condition but is being uncooperative with Detectives.
NEW CASTLE (DE) 02/02/21: A 21-Year-Old man was shot Tuesday night in the community of Oakmont, is also being uncooperative with detectives in their investigation New Castle County Police said in a Wednesday news release.
Police were called to the unit block of Birkshire Drive just after 11:00 p.m. where they found the 21-Year-Old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper thigh.
After being treated at the scene by EMS and New Castle County Paramedics, the victim was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.
Detectives arrived at the scene and began investigating and during interviews with both the victim and his girlfriend who was also with him at the time of the shooting, the victim told detectives they were in the area looking for an acquaintance and when he stepped out of the vehicle, he was shot in the upper thigh.
Detectives say that during the interviews with the victim and his girlfriend, both became uncooperative and refused to assist with the investigation.
