Propane heater cause of Harrington Storage building fire, investigators say.

A January 31, 2021 fire at a Harrington Storage Facility was caused by a propane heater the Delaware State Fire Marshals Office says.

HARRINGTON (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: The January 31, 2021 Harrington fire, which caused at least $150,000 in damages, was ruled accidental on February 05, 2021.

The Harrington Fire Company responded to the 200 block of Fernwood Drive in the Fernwood development near Jackson Ditch Road shortly before 4:00 pm for a building on fire. 

As fire units arrived at the scene, an active fire was observed inside a storage building.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation and has ruled the fire to be an accident, caused by a propane heater inside the building.
