A 37-Year-Old was stabbed during a carjacking in Robscott Manor Monday night New Castle County Police say.
NEWARK (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: New Castle County Police are investigating after a 37-Year-Old was stabbed during a carjacking in the Robscott Manor community Friday night. Thankfully, the victim was not seriously injured.
Officers, not aware of a stabbing, were dispatched to the unit block of Sanford Drive around 10:15 p.m. Monday night for a report of a carjacking that had just occurred.
Arriving officers discovered that the 37-year-old victim was also stabbed in the upper body by the assailant., Said Police spokesman Michel Eckerd. “The victim was transported to a local area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.”
Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation. Investigators revealed that the victim’s vehicle was in fact taken and detectives are asking assistance from the members of the community in locating a Red Hyundai Elantra (MD reg 5EK7640).
As the investigation progressed, the victim became uncooperative with the detectives. The community that sits on the outskirts of Newark, is a relatively low-crime community. It’s unknown why the victim became uncooperative with detectives in their investigation.
