Pase was charged with Unlawful Sexual Contact 3rd degree. He was arraigned and released on his on recognizance and also issued a no contact order with the victim.
MIDDLETOWN (DE) By Digital Staff: Middletown Police said they have arrested John A Pase (48) of Newark and charged him with third degree unlawful sexual contact after they say he returned to a former patients home and assaulted the victim.
The victim, who was not identified, is a resident of the Spring Mill Community in Middletown. Police say the elderly victim reported that a male claiming to be from the fire department entered her residence and touched her breast on Thursday February 18, 2021.

According to police, the victim thought she was allowing a home health care nurse into her residence when she opened the garage door for the male.
“The male entered the residence and engaged the victim in conversation.,” Said Police Spokeswoman Christine Brenner. “At the conclusion of the conversation the male placed his hand in the blouse of the victim touching her breast.”
Investigators say that Pase, is a member of the Middletown Vol Fire Co., who had responded to the victim’s residence approximately two weeks prior in his official capacity as an EMT. Pase allegedly returned to the victim’s residence on February 18, 2021 alone, off duty, and in his personal vehicle.
Pase was charged with Unlawful Sexual Contact 3rd degree. He was arraigned and released on his on recognizance and also issued a no contact order with the victim.
A spokesperson at the Middletown Fire Department said that they are aware of the current situation regarding Pase, and “have taken appropriate action with the suspension of Mr Pase pending an inquiry.”
