WILMINGTON (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: Wilmington Police say they have arrested two teens in connection to a Tuesday afternoon carjacking in Wilmington.
The carjacking, which did not seriously injured the vehicle’s owner, occurred around 2:15 p.m. in the 500 block of South Rodney Street.
Police say officers recovered the vehicle in the immediate area, unoccupied, and began an area search for the suspects with a description provided by the victim, and a short time later, police took two 15-year-old male juveniles into custody without incident.
The first 15-year-old juvenile was charged with Theft Over $1,500, Attempted Theft Under $1,500, Driving without a Valid License, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $3,600 unsecured bail.
The second 15-year-old juvenile was charged with Conspiracy 3rd Degree, and Offensive Touching. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on his own recognizance.
