Police say the incident happened on May 17, 2021 when officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of West 2nd Street just before 4:30 p.m. for a report of an assault that had occurred.
WILMINGTON (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: Wilmington Police say a man was arrested last week after he attacked another man with a brick during a confrontation.
It’s unknown why police waited so long to release the information, but the suspect was released after being taken to Justice of the Peace Court by police.

Police say the incident happened on May 17, 2021 when officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of West 2nd Street just before 4:30 p.m. for a report of an assault that had occurred.
Officers located a 49-year-old male victim who had been struck multiple times with a brick. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment after being treated on the scene by EMS.
During the investigation, officers identified 42-year-old Linwood Black as a suspect, and took him into custody a short time later.
Black has been charged with Assault (First Degree). He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
