An autopsy was performed, and on Monday June 7, 2021, police said the results of that autopsy determined that the victim suffered a gunshot wound.
WILMINGTON (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: Wilmington Police Detectives are investigating a death after a concerned citizen called police and reported a deceased body on a city sidewalk.
Police say officers responded to the 1200 block of West third street just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning where they located an injured 42-year-old male who was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the time, investigators said they were working to determine the nature of the injuries suffered by the victim. An autopsy was performed, and on Monday June 7, 2021, police said the results of the autopsy determined that the victim suffered a gunshot wound.
Police identified the victim as Ronald Wright.
This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.
