Delaware State Police say there were no injuries at the Wilmington Amazon Fulfillment Center after shots were fired in the parking lot.
WILMINGTON (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: Delaware State Police were investigating shots fired at the Amazon Fulfillment Center’s parking lot Wednesday afternoon. No one was injured during the shooting police said.
The fulfillment center sits on Boxwood Road near Newport in the 1000 block of Boxwood Road.
Police say troopers were called to the center just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon for a report of shots fired.
“The investigation determined a light-colored SUV pulled into the parking lot and opened fire. No one was injured during the incident.,” said Delaware State Police spokesman Jason Hatchell.
“Troopers discovered two shell casings at the scene.,” Hatchell added.
There is no suspect description at this time and police say the investigation is in it’s early stages.
