Police responded to the motel and located a 23-Year-Old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

DOVER (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: Dover Police are investigating a shooting at the Capitol Inn motel in Dover Sunday morning that injured one person.

Patrol officers were dispatched to the Inn just after 2:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of N. Dupont Highway for a report of a shooting.

Officers located a 23-year-old male victim with a single gunshot wound to the back. Police say the victim was transported to Kent General Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
