Police release video that shows burst of gunfire as people scramble for safety during large Pool party at a Salem Woods home early Sunday morning.
NEWARK (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: 22-Year-Old Aaron Moore was shot dead and two others were injured early Sunday morning following a large pool party at a Salem Woods home.
It was just after 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning when New Castle County 9-1-1 Communications Center began receiving 9-1-1 calls from residents on Louis Court in the Salem Woods development about gunfire in the area.
Officers from multiple police departments and first responders including medics was dispatched to the scene and located three shooting victims. Both police and medics began administering first aid, however in spite of their best efforts, 22-year-old Aaron Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were treated at the scene by EMS and New Castle County Paramedics before being transported to Christiana Hospital.
As their investigation continued, investigators now say that there were multiple subjects firing weapons during this incident and have learned there were dozens of witnesses to the shooting and believe several witnesses may possess cell phone video of the incident.
Police are also looking for a white sedan with a black stripe that fled the scene and may have been struck by gunfire, as well as front end damage during the shooting.
According to police spokesman Michel Eckerd, “Detectives have learned several of the uninvited subjects at the party which resulted in this shooting had attended a party in the nearby community of Buckley just before the shooting occurred.”
