Cold Case Unit requests public assistance in connection to 2005 murder

WILMINGTON (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: The Wilmington Police Department’s Cold Case Unit is asking for the assistance of the public in connection to the 2005 murder of Holland Brown and Marquita Smith.

On February 7, 2005, police responded to the 2600 Block of Jefferson Street in reference to a shots fired complaint. Police located Mr. Brown and Ms. Smith in a white Ford Crown Victoria that was parked in the parking lot. Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Smith had been shot and succumbed to their injuries.

This investigation remains ongoing, and investigators are asking the public for assistance.
