Shooting tops three year record for Wilmington Gun violence.
WILMINGTON (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 40-Year-Old woman Sunday afternoon.
Police say the shooting occurred around 3:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Maryland Avenue in the city’s Browntown neighborhood.
Police say officers located the 40-year-old female who was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.
Police released no other details about the shooting but said the incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.
So far this year, 38 people have died as a result of Wilmington gun violence. 30 People died in 2020 and 27 in 2019.
