On Thursday June 29, 1989, Delaware State Police responded to the Riverview Motel for a report of a shooting that had just occurred. When troopers arrived, they located two victims, Garfield Bennett (40) and Carolyn Dunbar (40). Investigators say the victims were found in the motel parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds.
