20-Year-Old man shot in West Minquadale Wednesday night police say

When the officers arrived, they located a 20-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower extremity.

NEW CASTLE (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF:  A 20-Year-Old man is in stable condition after being shot in West Minquadale Wednesday night New Castle County Police said in a news release.

Police say officers responded to the intersection of Maple Avenue and Stanton Avenue which is behind New Castle County Police headquarters for the report of a shooting that had just occurred.

When the officers arrived, they located a 20-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower extremity. The victim was transported to a local area hospital, where he is in stable condition, police said.

Police responded to the West Minquadale community, behind the New Castle County Police Department where a 20-Year-Old man was shot Wednesday night.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.

Investigators say the investigation is still in its early stages and very active.
