An 18-year-old and 12-Year-Old boy was critically wounded by gun violence. Another 18-year-old male was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
WILMINGTON (DE) BY DIGITAL STAFF: A Wilmington Police investigation has resulted in arrests in connection with a June 24th shooting incident.
On June 24th at approximately 3:42 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 24th and Tatnall Streets. Police say officers located an 18-year-old male gunshot victim and a 12-year-old male gunshot victim who arrived at the hospital in critical condition. Police also located an 18-year-old male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Detectives identified 18-year-old Nasir Carter, and a 17-year-old male juvenile as suspects. Arrest warrants were secured for the suspects, who were all taken into custody without incident.
Carter was charged with Assault 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Discharging a Firearm on a City Street.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $46,000 cash-only bail.

Unidentified Juvenile
The 17-year-old male juvenile was charged with Assault 1st Degree (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Discharging a Firearm on a City Street.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $203,000 cash-only bail.

Weeks later Detectives identified a third suspect in connection to the shooting of the 18-Year-Old and a 12-Year-Old boy. Investigators identified 18-year-old Sakye Melton as a third suspect, and obtained arrest warrants.
Melton was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with Assault (First Degree) – Two Counts, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy (Second Degree), and Discharging a Firearm on a City Street.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $193,100 cash-only bail.
