Wilmington, DE (DNTV): Detectives have arrested 39-Year-Old Walter Caceras following a shooting incident that hospitalized a 39-Year-Old man.
Police say the shooting occurred at approximately 11:18 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of North Union Street.
located a 39-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition., police said.
“Responding officers learned of an altercation that took place involving 39-year-old Walter Caceras of Harrington, who had been in possession of a firearm.,” Said Dave Caras, a Wilmington Police Spokesman. “Police took Caceras into custody without incident and recovered a .380-caliber handgun.”
Caceras has been charged with Assault (First Degree), Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Reckless Endangering (First Degree) – Two Counts, Aggravated Menacing, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $158,000 cash-only bail.
