NEWARK, DE (DNTV): The Delaware State Police is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning in Newark.
On March 19, 2023, at approximately 5:53 a.m., New Castle County Police Department responded to a possible traffic accident on Old County Road.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. An examination of the scene revealed that the shooting occurred near the 2400 block of Old County Road.
According to police spokeswoman India Sturgis, “The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.” The victim’s identification was later confirmed and he was identified as 22-Year-old Bryan Pedroza, of Wilmington.
“No suspect information is available at this time.,” Sturgis said.
The Homicide Unit is still actively investigating this incident.
