ODESSA, DE (DNTV): The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating this evening’s fire that heavily damaged a house near Odessa, Delaware.
Investigators say the blaze, reported shortly before 6:00 pm, occurred in the 700 block of Bullen Drive in the Grandeview Farms development near Boyd’s Corner.
According to the fire marshals office, the Odessa Fire Company arrived on the scene with flames engulfing the rear of the two-story dwelling. Several neighboring mutual aid fire companies responded and assisted at the fire scene.
Deputy fire marshals were called to the scene according to a news release, and are currently searching for the fire’s origin and cause.
There were no injuries reported and Fire damage was estimated at $500,000. Two adults have also been displaced.
This fire remains under investigation.
