DAGSBORO, DE (DNTV): Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred this morning in Dagsboro.
Police say on June 18, 2023, at approximately 5:33 a.m., troopers responded to a residence located on the 30,000 block of Thorogoods Road for a report of a suspicious person knocking on the door of the home. When troopers arrived on scene, police say they located a 39-year-old man from Virginia sitting in the driveway with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim was reportedly walking down Thorogoods Road when an unidentified suspect shot him. There is no additional information regarding the suspect at this time.
Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is still investigating this shooting. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed or has information regarding this case to contact Detective P. LaPlaca by calling 302-752-3798.
