"Two uniformed patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police arrived on scene., Said Michael McNasby, a New Castle County Police spokesman. "Officers encountered a female suspect, actively shooting a firearm. Both officers discharged their weapons. The female suspect was struck in the torso. She was transported to Christiana Hospital where she is currently listed in critical condition."
According to Delaware State Police spokesman, Darren Lester, "Once in Delaware, the operator of the Ford Focus (17 year old) intentionally struck one of the Pennsylvania State Troopers marked vehicles left side with their vehicles right side. It was at this time, that the Trooper operating the marked unit fired one (1) round at the suspect vehicle."
"Officers approached the vehicle to assess the situation, and engaged with the driver and sole occupant, a 21-year-old male. One Wilmington Police officer discharged their department-issued firearm, striking the suspect."
