Submit A News Tip!

Do you have video or photos that you want to share with Delaware Newsline? It’s easy! | Most of the news and information you see on the TV news or in the daily newspaper was generated by people just like you. They send information to the media, usually via press releases and personal contact. And good news tips from people in the community shows up on TV, newspapers, and at online News media in the same way.

These messages are paid for by the nonprofits themselves, or by local businesses or philanthropists who support their efforts. They are not products of DNTV Digital's editorial staff.

We believe DNTV Digital needs to be a space for people from Delaware communities to tell their own stories from their own perspectives.

Independent, ethical journalism helps citizens understand society’s problems and develop meaningful solutions. Investigative reporting is critical to increasing public awareness and engagement and provides a much-needed platform for voices that are under-represented in traditional media.

DNTV Digital endeavors to share stories that challenge dominant narratives, bring context and nuance to complex issues, and support and uplift communities in need. There is a desperate need to tell these stories as traditional models of support for journalism are in decline and as a result, voices are going unheard and issues going under-reported as traditional media struggle to survive.

There is room on our platform for mission–friendly work that comes from allies to community voices—and we welcome that. But such work needs to forward the conversation beyond the realities communities deal with every day.

COMMUNITY VOICES GUIDELINES

Whether it’s protecting the environment, inspiring kids to achieve, fostering innovation or feeding the hungry, nonprofits strive to make Delaware better. Partner Voices gives these nonprofit organizations a platform to showcase their contributions to the community in a more comprehensive way than traditional display ads. These messages are paid for by the nonprofits themselves, or by local businesses or philanthropists who support their efforts. They are not products of DNTV Digital’s editorial staff.

Partner Voices is a place where local nonprofit organizations can tell their stories and raise awareness. We employ a unique storytelling technique and may work to revise some submissions to protect the Partner Voices look and feel. For content to be published on the Partner Voices platform, it must meet the established Partner Voices criteria:

1. Content should be interesting and showcase opportunities for Delaware residents to get involved.

2. Content should avoid making boastful claims or casting dispersions on other businesses and organizations.

3. Partner Voices shall not be a hub for sales pitches, press releases and classifieds.
